The PsychoSensory
Integration Set of 6 CDs (PSI) is a series of CDs originally created
as a result of requests and comments from psychotherapists and
clinical hypnotherapists who were using other Dr. Jeff Audio
Programs in their clinical practices. From this interplay and his
understanding of psychology and wellness, Dr. Thompson endeavored to
create a very specific type of music and tool for wellness and
growth. As a result, a new type of music and a new type of approach
was born. In combining this new music and approach he was able to
push the envelope of emotional release and inner health in a safe,
effective and pleasant manner.
This was the creation of
"Non-Linear™" Music -
music that does not follow the ordinary sequence of western musical
expectations of chord changes leading to anticipated musical
conclusions. This type of music stayed in the “now’” – it stayed
right where it was and did not lead the listener to consciously or
subconsciously expect certain musical conclusions.
This new type of ambient music,
combined with brainwave entrainment techniques, pacing into the
Theta brainwave state became more possible. The brain state of Theta
was desired, because this is the state where emotional release is
possible, the state in which emotions are freed and healed. With
Dr. Thompson’s "Primordial Sounds," a subconscious mind response was
enhanced and a powerful new tool for healing and growth became
eagerly accepted and used by healers and therapists across the
globe. This "Musical SoundScape™", an enhanced relaxing environment
of sound and music, became a powerful tool for therapists.
